Swiss Degree in Research Methodology

COURSE OBJECTIVES

This degree course in research methodology is designed to provide participants with the opportunity to specialise in specific areas of research while also benefiting from generic research methods training. The programme is oriented towards developing a broad range of transferable research capabilities as well as towards the professional world of research project management. The programme also benefits participants in developing their capabilities in areas such as critical thinking, problem resolution, analysis and synthases, as well as communication and autonomy.

Our degree programme provides students with the knowledge, understanding and skills to design and conduct research projects across a range of business, environmental and social contexts. The programme comprises taught modules, projects, group work and case studies, as well as the completion of an individual project based on your preferred research topic or area of interest. A special feature of this degree course is that it provides opportunities for students to gain experience through an optional internship either in Switzerland or abroad. The internship is usually completed at the end of the taught course.
